Scriptural Case for Divine Healing

Introduction

Are you interested in receiving Divine Healing? There are several scriptural principles you need to get straight in your mind, embraced as truth in your heart, and start acting out in faith. This post will walk through them and help you become positioned to receive divine healing.

Why This Matters

Healing is not a fringe topic—it sits at the center of:

    • God’s nature
    • Christ’s redemptive work
    • Our restoration as believers

Yet many struggle:

    • Is healing really God’s will?
    • Why do outcomes vary?
    • How do I actually receive it?

To answer this, we must build a complete scriptural case and bring it to trial before the just Judge.

God’s Word → God’s Nature → Creation → Fall → Redemption → Legal Restoration → Authority → Application

The Foundation: The Authority of God’s Word

Healing stands or falls on one question:

Will we trust what God has said more than what we see, feel, or what man says?

Scripture is Truth. It is Not opinion. It is Not Just symbolic. It Is Absolute, Objective truth.

“Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.” –  John 17:17

Scripture is Unchanging. God’s will does not evolve. What was true then is true now.

“Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven.”  – Psalm 119:89

Scripture is Binding and Cannot Be Broken

“The Scripture cannot be broken.”  – John 10:35

God’s declarations establish reality. His promises stand regardless of circumstances.

“For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” – 2 Corinthians 1:20

God’s Word does work. It is active and carries power. It is Not theoretical, it is operational

“For the word of God is living and powerful…”  –  Hebrews 4:12

God’s Words Work in the unseen, and manifest in the seen

“By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God,

so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible” – Hebrews 11:3

God’s word is effective. It always accomplishes its purpose.

“So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me void,
But it shall accomplish what I please,
And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”  –  Isaiah 55:11

We must embrace and put our trust in God’s Word

“But He answered and said, ‘It is written, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” – Matthew 4:4

We must Trust God’s Word above the Word or promises of Man

“It is better to trust in the Lord Than to put confidence in man” – Psalm 118:8

“Let God be true but every man a liar.”  – Romans 3:4

It is not about rejecting human knowledge, it is about establishing priority

God’s Word IS the final authority – We need to focus on it and embrace it, so it can do its work.

“My son, give attention to My words;  Incline your ear to My sayings.
 Do not let them depart from your eyes;  Keep them in the midst of your heart;
For they are life to those who find them,  And health to all their flesh.” – Proverbs 4:20-22

Conclusion

    • God’s Word is true
    • God’s Word is unchanging
    • God’s Word is binding
    • God’s Word does work
    • God’s Word always accomplishes its purpose

Therefore:  If Scripture reveals healing as God’s will, it is not optional—it is an enforceable reality.

God Reveals His Nature, His Nature Is Healing

We do not guess God’s will — He told us, and we can observe what He revealed through Jesus.

God’s Nature Is Love

“God is love.”  – 1 John 4:8

Love restores, Love delivers, Love heals.

God’s Nature Is Healing – He IS Jehovah Rafa – The Lord That Heals.

“If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you.” – Exodus 15:26

Jesus Reveals the Father

“He who has seen Me has seen the Father.” – John 14:9

Jesus is the exact expression of God

“He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation” – Colossians 1:15

Jesus did only the Fathers Will – If Jesus did it, it is the Fathers will.

“I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me.” – John 5:30

“For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me” – John 6:38

Jesus demonstrated God’s will for healing – He healed all who came to Him

“Jesus…went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil.” –  Acts 10:38

Key observations:

Healing = Good, Love

Oppression = From the devil

Jesus Operated in the Father’s Will

Jesus healed all who came to Him

Therefore: What Jesus did is the will of the Father.

Conclusion:

    • God’s nature is Healing
    • Jesus revealed that nature in action
    • Jesus healed consistently

Therefore: Healing is the revealed and demonstrated will of God.

The Biblical Logic of Healing – Restoring Fallen Creation

Creation: God Created Perfection

“God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good.” –  Genesis 1:31

No sickness

No death

The Fall: Man’s Sin Introduced Suffering and Death

“Through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin.” — Romans 5:12

“For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now.” – Romans 8:22-39

Sickness is part of a fallen world and is a work of the devil

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms” (Ephesians 6:12).

Redemption: God Came Into Creation As Jesus To Restore What Was Lost

“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost” – Luke 19:10

“He was wounded for our transgressions…And by His stripes we are healed.”  — Isaiah 53:5

“By whose stripes you were healed.” — 1 Peter 2:24

Salvation Is translated from Greek word Sozo = Total Restoration

    • Saved
    • Healed
    • Delivered
    • Made whole

Righteousness: The Legal Position

You stand legally justified, under Jesus’ innocent blood

“Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” – Romans 5:1

This right position is received as a free gift by faith – not something earned by works

“Those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness…”  — Romans 5:17

Building The Legal Case for Healing (Restoration and Enforcement)

The Theft

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.” — John 10:10

Sickness is theft—not God’s design, there was no sickness in the garden.

The Payment

“He himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness.
By His wounds you have been healed.” – 1 Peter 2:24

“For you were bought with a price…..” – 1 Corinthians 6:20

“And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.”  — Colossians 2:13-14

Your Legal Position

“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.” – — Romans 8:1

      • Forgiven
      • Cleansed
      • Declared righteous

The Prosecutor Framework

You are no longer a victim—you are enforcing a settled case.

      • The enemy stole
      • Jesus paid the price
      • You are restored
      • The enemy has no legal right to you

Therefore: You stand and demand restoration of what was lost.

Authority to Enforce

“I give you authority… over all the power of the enemy.” – Luke 10:19

“Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” –  James 4:7

“Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, whatever you loose on earth witl be loosed in heaven…” – Matthew 18:18

How to Receive Healing (Execution Framework)

Step 1 — Understand God’s Will

“I am the Lord who heals you.” — Exodus 15:26

Healing is His nature—but we must seek His direction on the path.

There are multiple paths or gift(s) of healing(s), multiple paths available for God to use.

“And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: …for to one is given… , to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit” – 1 Corinthians 12:6-9

We must ask Him for guidance on which one He wants us to pursue.

“Call to Me, and I will answer you…” — Jeremiah 33:3

“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” – James 1:5

Step 2 — Stand in the Righteousness Jesus Paid For

“The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” — James 5:16

When you confess your sins and accept Jesus you are born again.  You must truly confes you sins to have hem purged from you.

“Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”(James 5:16)

You are forgiven, You are justified.

You stand in Christ, covered by His blood.

“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” – 2 Corinthians 5:21

Jesus presents you as innocent and Holy to the Father.

“For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross. And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight” – Colossians 1:19-23

Step 3 — Use the Authority God Delegated to You

Authority is not assumed—it is delegated by Jesus.

You are not:

    • Powerless
    • Waiting for God to act
    • Hoping for intervention

You are:

    • Commissioned
    • Authorized
    • Expected to act in alignment with Him

You Have Been Commissioned to Act

“As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” — John 20:21

You are sent just as Jesus was sent,  His mission becomes your mission

His authority flows through that assignment

You Are Called to Continue His Works

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do…” – John 14:12

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations…” — Matthew 28:19

These Signs Are Expected to Follow

“And these signs will follow those who believe… they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” – Mark 16:17–18

Healing is not exceptional—it is expected.  It is not limited to a few—it follows those who believe.

He gives you power over the devil

“I give you authority… over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” — Luke 10:19

Jesus give you use of His name, His name is power. He is the name above all names, all must kneel to His name

“… God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth” -Philippians 2:9.

We have Holy Spirit Power Operating in us

“…He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you” – Romans 8:11.

You Have Authority to Bind and Loose

“Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” – Matthew 18:18

Bind → Restrict what is not from God

Loose → Release what is from God

Applied to healing:

Bind sickness, oppression, dysfunction

Loose healing, restoration, life

Authority Includes Resisting the Enemy

“Submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” – James 4:7

Resistance is not passive—it is active enforcement

The enemy must yield when resisted in alignment with God

Jesus established the model, Believers continue the work, Healing is part of that continuation

Authority + Identity + Alignment = Results

Authority functions properly when:

    • You are submitted to God
    • You understand your righteous standing
    • You act in agreement with His Word

Integrated Authority Model

    • God established the will
    • Jesus secured the victory
    • You are given authority
    • You enforce what has been accomplished

Key Takeaway

You are not asking for authority—you are using the authority already give

Step 4 — Speak God’s Will Into Place

Speak Out Loud; Your words have power

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.” – Proverbs 18:21

Put the word of God into your mouth….Believe it and Speak

“And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, ‘I believed and therefore I spoke,’ we also believe and therefore speak.” – 2 Corinthians 4:13

Speak to the Mountain

Address the condition directly

Command alignment with God’s design

Thank God for His Finished Work on the cross

“For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” — Mark 11:23

Key Shift:

You are not:  Telling God about your big problem and Begging Him to act

You are:    Telling your problem about your big God, and thanking God for already doing the work to fix it.

Step 5 — Believe As You Pray, and You Will Receive

Faith completes the transaction

Believe AS you pray to Receive → then see

Believe that you have executed the spiritual transaction to open the door for healing, and that the healing will now flow in.

“Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” — Mark 11:24

Sometimes results are instantaneous, often it takes some time for the body to align with the spiritual reality of healing

Thank Him → before you see the results manifest.  Trust that it is done.

Doubt will block healing. Have no doubt, trust your prayer is effective and is being answered.

Hold your position of healing regardless of ongoing symptoms.

Summary

Understand His will

Stand in righteousness He paid for

Use the Authority He gave you

Speak His will into place

Believe and receive

Execution Example: Prayer for Healing

Father, I come before You in the name of Jesus Christ.

I acknowledge that Your Word is truth and cannot be broken.
I trust Your Word above what I see and feel.

You are good. You are love.
Your will is healing and restoration.

I declare that Jesus has already paid the full price.
By His stripes, I am healed.

I am forgiven, righteous, and accepted before You.
I stand in that righteousness now.

The enemy has no legal right to afflict my body.

I resist sickness and command it to leave in Jesus’ name.

Body, be restored; Come into alignment with God’s design.

I speak to this mountain—be removed.

Jesus, I thank You that it is already done.

I believe and receive healing here and now.

I give You all the glory and will serve you all the days of my life.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
