Prayer for Healing and Strength

Speak this boldly and out loud for best effect

Heavenly father, thank you for loving me; You love me so much you sent your son to come here and die for me (John 3:16).

We were created in the image of God and in perfect harmony with Him. Illness and death entered the world through Adam’s sin in the garden of Eden (Romans 5:12); We were each born as sinners in a fallen world as a result.

Jesus, thank you for coming here and becoming a sacrifice for us;  suffering and dying to pay the price for our sins, shedding your blood as an innocent lamb to gain forgiveness for our sins. Through your death and resurrection, you provide a path for us to overcome this sinfull world and return to righteousness (1 Peter 2:24). Jesus, I believe in your death and resurrection and I accept you as my Lord and savior (Romans 10:9).  I choose to turn from sin and follow you and your ways (Romans 3:10). By your loving grace you forgive me and I am saved (Ephesians 1:7). I humbly accept your gift of forgiveness and righteousness, and I forgive all who have sinned against me (Matthew 6:14-15).

I am a believer and therefore have been born again as a member of the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:27).  Jesus, thank you for releasing the holy spirit to live inside me; to help me, guide me and teach me (1 Corinthians 2:10). I know you sent me here with a purpose, With your help, I will live a life worthy of the price you paid for it. Lord, help me recognize and subdue any remaining self-centered earthly desires and stay focused on loving you and your kingdom (1 Peter 2:11).

Lord, You tell us Death and Life are in the power of the tongue, so I will speak this prayer out loud (Proverbs 18:21). You tell us it is our job to engage in prayer so your will can be implemented on this earth, so I will engage (Matthew 6:9). You tell us the fervent prayer of a righteous man brings results, so I will stand in the righteousness you paid for and be bold and fervent (James 5:16). You give believers the authority to use your name to release your power on this earth;  so I will use it here and now (John14:14).   You tell us our battles are not of flesh and blood but against powers and spirits of wickedness, so I will engage those spirits directly (Ephesians 6:12).

I believe illness is not from God, it is from the devil. He is lying, stealing, and destroying life and prosperity. I hereby rebuke the spirits of Illness, Infirmity, Fear, and Un-belief who have invaded this body. (Optional: I hereby rebuke the spirit(s) of (insert names of the specific illnesses or symptoms, ex: spirit of cancer, spirit of diabetes, spirit of pain, etc ).  I rebuke all other unclean spirits and cast them all out of this body NOW! never to return!; In the name of Jesus Christ (Mark 16:14-18).

With the authority as a member of the body of Christ I release the love and power of the Holy Spirit into this situation. I speak healing into this body;  From the top of this head, to the soles of these feet; In Jesus name!  Just as your blood washed away our sinful nature, your broken body takes away the damage and distress in this body. I command healing and life to flow into Every muscle, Every bone, Every organ, Every tissue, Every fiber, and Every cell : In Jesus Name! I command this mind and body to be restored to perfect function. I flow the fruits of the spirit into this person:  love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control.  Heavenly father, I believe in your healing power, and we receive your love and your healing now. Allow this to be a sign that the kingdom of heaven is alive and well, and may this healing bring glory to you, in Jesus Name!

Lord Jesus, you made many promises to those of us who love you and follow your ways; I claim several of them here and now:

  • I will have blessings rather than curses (Deut 30:15-20).
  • When I resist the devil, he will flee from me (James 4:7).
  • No weapon formed against me shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
  • No evil shall befall me, and No plague shall come near my dwelling (Psalm 91:9-12).
  • You will be with me, You will strengthen me, You will help me ( Isaiah 41:10)
  • By your blood I am saved, and by your stripes I am healed (Isaiah 53:5, 1 Peter 2:24)

Lord, you told us: Ask and it will be given, seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened (Matthew 7:11). I ask you now to help me to love you with all my heart, and to love my neighbors as myself (Mark 12:30-31). Please give me eyes to see and ears to hear your precious words (Matthew 13:15). Help me understand them and hold them deep in my heart, for they are life and healing to my flesh (Proverbs 4:20-22). Fill me with your holy spirit to help me, and give me strength knowing you are with me (Ephesians 3:16). I know you make all things work together for good for those who love God (Romans 8:28). Guide my steps and help me find the path you have for me today and always (Psalm 119:133). Help me to glorify you with my life, and to be a beacon for others to see the holy kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.

Thank you, Lord, for all you have done and are doing for me and my family. I ask all of this in Jesus holy name. AMEN
