Who Do YOU Say Jesus Is?
Introduction
Many people have an opinion about Jesus. Some see Him as a good teacher, prophet, moral example, revolutionary, or religious leader. Others dismiss Him as a legend. But Jesus did not leave His identity as an abstract question for scholars and theologians.
He asked His disciples—and He still asks each of us:
He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.” — Matthew 16:15–17
